Sierra Leonean rapper and Peace Ambassador, Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as Boss LA, has sparked fresh public discussion after posting a passionate message on social media, expressing frustration over what he described as widespread hypocrisy, rejection, and fake loyalty.
In a post written in Krio, Boss LA suggested that he’s done trying to keep peace with people who don’t value or respect him.
“Hypocrisy for end… if anybody nor lek u, u sef nor lek am… if dem nor want u, u sef nor want dem…” ( Hypocrisy must end. If someone doesn’t like you, you don’t have to like them. If they don’t want you, don’t want them either.)
With these words, Boss LA called for mutual respect, urging people to stop tolerating one-sided relationships. He emphasized the need to reciprocate energy, making it clear that he no longer feels obligated to appease those who don’t like him.
He continued:
“How dem make u feel… u sef make dem feel d same way… na God bring we, na God we owe, all man get for go n die…” (Treat people how they treat you. We were all created by God, and we all owe our lives to Him. Everyone will die one day.)
Here, the rapper reminded his followers of life’s transience and the futility of pretending to be accepted. He emphasized that no one should be afraid of standing their ground or demanding fairness, since life and dignity come from God, not people.
“Make nobody nor lie pa u again… we all yai don cherrrr… understanding dae wutehteh…” (Don’t let anyone lie to you again. Our eyes are open now — we understand what’s really going on.)
This part of the message shows that Boss LA feels awakened to truth, claiming that both he and his supporters now clearly see the deceit and fake alliances surrounding them.
Ending with sarcasm, he wrote:
“Twww man dem gainse bo, The Peace Ambassador don tire with peace ” we are fed up. The Peace Ambassador is tired of peace.)
