social media report has suggested the cause of death of music producer Joseph Bockarie, popularly known as Joe Crack on the Beat, who passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025
In a screenshot WhatsApp conversation dated Monday, 21 April, allegedly between the deceased and an unknown person shared on Facebook, the deceased disclosed that he was sick for over two months, as someone inflicted ‘ducks alay’ on him.
The report also shows WhatsApp voice messages, where the deceased was explaining his encounter after he went to Makeni to produce music.
According to the Voice messages, he reported that he entire face was damaged and he was taken to a village in Makeni for traditional treatment.
‘Ducks Alay’ is a spiritual sickness inflected on people through breeze by traditional medicinemen. Its appears on ones body in the form of rash and increases as time passes on and later increase in size that left bigger scars if cure. This sickness is only cure through traditional means.
