The Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, in a Facebook post on Wednesday, July 16th 2025, celebrated the second anniversary of his appointment to President Julius Maada Bio’s cabinet with a heartfelt message reaffirming his dedication to national service.

Bah, who made history in 2023 as the youngest cabinet minister ever appointed in Sierra Leone, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve under what he described as “the most inclusive” government in the country’s history.

Two years ago, President Julius Maada Bio named me in his cabinet — the youngest in the history of our country and its most inclusive. As I mark this milestone, I’m even more determined to continue to deliver on the mandate of the President and to make my parents, my family, and my people proud,” he wrote.

Bah, a respected youth advocate and former international development professional, said he remains “humbled and honored” to serve under a progressive and determined leader. He added that working alongside committed colleagues has deepened his passion for public service.

Two years since the appointment, my fire is even more kindled,” he concluded.

His appointment was widely praised by young people and civil society groups as a sign of generational change and a move toward greater inclusivity in governance.
