A 16-year-old boy narrowly escaped death after being attacked by a cow in Pelewahun Village, Kori Chiefdom, Moyamba District, on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025.
The boy, along with his brother, were performing their daily farm duties scaring away birds and other animals that threaten their crops when they encountered a strange cow on their parents’ farm.
Witnesses report that as the brothers attempted to chase the cow away, it suddenly turned aggressive. While one brother managed to flee unharmed, the other sustained severe injuries, reportedly suffering a gash that left him in critical condition.
Local authorities, including the police and chiefdom officials, are currently investigating the incident. As of now, no one has come forward to claim ownership of the cow responsible for the attack.
