The Minister of Internal Affairs Rtd. AIG. Morie Lengor Esq, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alhaji Timothy Musa Kabbah, has on Tuesday, 30 July 2025 joined the Charge d’Affairs for the Kingdom of Morroco Mr. Khalid Akhsas, at the Radisson Blu on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s Accession to the Throne Celebration Ceremony.
‘’Throne Day celebrations provide an annual opportunity to renew the bonds of mutual allegiance and the feelings of affection and loyalty which have invariably united us, and which grow stronger as time goes by.’’ Stated King Mohammed VI’s.
He also noted that, it is also an opportunity to reflect on where the nation stands: the gains we have achieved, the projects to come, and the challenges lying ahead, as we look to the future with confidence and optimism.

Finally, according to Minister Morie Lengor Esq, the celebration served as a platform for him to interact directly with Mr. Akhsas, diplomats, and other dignitaries on pertinent and strategic discussions, reinforcing his Ministry’s commitment to the peace and stability of Sierra Leone.
King Mohammed VI of Morocco has been ruling for 26 years, since July 23, 1999. He ascended to the throne upon the death of his father, King Hassan II.
