The First Lady of Sierra Leone, Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, joined party members and supporters at the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Office in Kailahun District to pay final respects to Mr. Ibrahim B. Foday, the SLPP District Secretary General, who passed away on August 2, 2025.

In a heartfelt address, Fatima Bio reflected on the significant contributions of Foday, describing him as a “true servant of the people.”

She expressed her deep sorrow over his passing and highlighted his unwavering commitment, integrity, and selfless service to the community.

Ibrahim B. Foday serve as a moral compass for us all, a reminder of our duty to uphold justice, defend the vulnerable, and work for a fairer society,” Fatima Bio stated.

She further emphasized that Foday’s values should guide the party and its members as they continue to pursue the mission he so passionately advanced.

Fatima Bio assured attendees that while Foday may no longer be physically present, his spirit would continue to inspire their efforts.

His legacy lives on in the many lives he influenced,” she said. “We will honor him not through words alone, but through continued action, building unity, challenging injustice, and leading with purpose, exactly as he did.”

The gathering was marked by a somber atmosphere as friends, family, and colleagues converged to celebrate Foday’s life and contributions. The First Lady concluded her remarks with a heartfelt farewell: “Rest in peace, brother. Your legacy continues.”
