Africell Sierra Leone, on Thursday, August 21, 2025, welcomed the Parliamentary Committee on Communications, Technology, and Innovation to its Head Office for an oversight meeting.
The gathering was poised to foster dialogue between the telecommunications provider and the committee members regarding the state of connectivity and innovation in Sierra Leone.
During the meeting, Shadi Gerjawi, CEO of Africell SL, presented the company’s expansion plans, innovative products and services, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The CEO further addressed the challenges the company faces in enhancing connectivity across Sierra Leone.
The Committee Chairman, Hon. Boston Munda, praised Africell for its substantial contributions over the past 20 years to the telecommunications sector and the overall digital transformation of the country.
He emphasized the importance of collaboration, suggesting that there are further opportunities for Africell and the committee to work together to enhance innovation and improve customer experiences.
Africell expressed continuous dedication to its mission of connecting people, empowering communities, and building a robust digital future for Sierra Leone.
