The dedicated Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division, led by ASP Francis M. Tommy, executed a targeted operation on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, resulting in the detention of two individuals believed to be involved in narcotic-related offenses.

At approximately 11:45 AM, officers apprehended Alpha Ajarty of No. 59 Osman Lane, Calabatown, Freetown, at Bomeh Community, after discovering him in possession of a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa, raising concerns over drug proliferation in the area.

Later that afternoon, around 1:30 PM, the same team detained Abubakarr Kamara of No. 65 Mamba Ridge, Moyeba Community, at PWD Junction, where they found him in possession of 90 wraps of what is believed to be Kush, further highlighting the ongoing fight against illicit substances.

Addressing the media, ASP Tommy reaffirmed the division’s unwavering dedication: “The Harbour Police Division remains resolute in its efforts to eradicate dangerous drugs from our neighborhoods, particularly those that endanger our youth and future generations.”

The two suspects are presently in custody at the TOCU facility, where they are assisting authorities with ongoing investigations into their alleged involvement in drug trafficking.
