Sierra Leone’s renowned music group, LXG, has signed a historic contract with two prominent US-based entities, Solo22 Management and NnVision Consulting, marking a major milestone in their international career.
Under this new agreement, LXG will collaborate with key figures from both organizations, including Jackie Solomon of Solo22 Management and Victoria Tulsidas of NnVision 6000.
The deal positions LXG to explore new musical horizons within the “Sajazz” genre, a unique blend that combines the elegance of jazz with Krio lyricism, global grooves, and traditional Sierra Leonean rhythms. This genre fusion represents the group’s vision to bring Sierra Leonean culture to a global stage while blending various international influences.
LXG’s lead singer, Nega Don, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “This moment represents the next level for LXG.” He also reaffirmed his confidence in Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry, emphasizing that it is on the verge of matching international standards. “We can stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s best,” he added.
This contract is seen as a huge step in the rise of LXG, which has already gained widespread recognition in Sierra Leone. The group is a major household name with several hit tracks including “To the Beat” which was nominated for the MTV African Awards. With this collaboration, the group aims to further elevate their sound and presence on the global music scene, offering a fresh musical experience that transcends borders.
