During a stakeholders meeting held on September 21, 2025, at the Kenema Government Secondary School hall, Mayor His Lordship Thomas Karimu Badabla Baio of Kenema City pledged his full support—both financial and logistical—for the Kenema Kamboi Eagles Football Club.

In a Facebook post by Sam Lahai, he stated that the mayor promised to engage other partners to come on board to support the Kamboi Eagles Football Club.

The mayor further said the council would find ways to support the Kamboi Eagles Football Club but only if the team put in better management structure.
