Africell Sierra Leone has provided a financial and motivational boost to the Sierra Leone Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (SLBFA) as the team prepares to represent the country at an upcoming international competition in Nigeria.
The support, which is part of Africell’s ongoing commitment to sports and youth development, was formalized at a presentation ceremony held last Friday, September 26, 2025, at the company’s Head Office.
Malek El Koussa, Africell’s Chief Operations Officer, led the ceremony, where he celebrated the “strength, resilience, and determination” of the athletes.
In his speech, El Koussa emphasized the qualities shared between the sport and the company’s values. “He reminded us that bodybuilding, like many other sports, requires discipline, perseverance, and commitment,” the company stated in a press release.
Africell further reaffirmed its dedication to empowering young Sierra Leoneans, stressing its support for youth talent across all avenues, enabling them to shine on both national and international stages.
The SLBFA team is now set to travel to Nigeria, carrying the hopes of the nation and the backing of one of the country’s leading telecommunications providers.
