A viral video circulating on social media shows two boys, reportedly around 12 years old, violently fighting late at night over the substance locally known as kush.
The footage, widely shared on platforms such as Facebook, has sparked alarm and debate about the growing use of synthetic drugs among Sierra Leonean youths. In the video, the boys argue bitterly over missing kush, while voices in the background express shock and concern.
The identities and location of the children remain unknown. The video, tagged with #sayno, has become part of a rising social media movement aimed at raising awareness of drug use and its effects on children and communities.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement, and it is unclear whether an investigation is underway.
Nevertheless, the footage has renewed calls for stronger community-based interventions, child protection policies, and drug prevention programs across the country.
