Police Arrest Woman For Beating Husband’s Side Chick in Kenema

The Sierra Leone Police in Kenema have arrested a woman seen in a viral video physically assaulting a young girl she accused of having an affair with her husband.

According to police sources, the suspect-reportedly a married woman from Kono District-was taken into custody following widespread public outrage over the footage circulating on social media.

The video shows the woman verbally abusing and violently attacking the victim, prompting calls for swift justice.

Preliminary investigations suggest the suspect allegedly lured the girl from Freetown to Kono under false pretenses. Disguising herself as her husband, she reportedly invited the girl to meet her, leading to the confrontation that was captured on camera.

The victim is currently receiving medical treatment, while police continue to investigate the case, which may include charges of assault and other related offences.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and allow due process to take its course, emphasizing that justice will be served in accordance with the law.
