Police in Bo have arrested a 16-year-old boy identified as Shadrach David Sam, a resident of C-Line, New Police Barracks, for the alleged murder of his grandmother, Sub-Inspector Magdalene Fatu Conteh.

According to preliminary reports, the late Sub-Inspector Conteh was a service medical officer attached to the Police Hospital at the Bo East Division. She was reportedly found dead in her residence under circumstances that have left the community in shock.

Sources allege that the teenager fatally stabbed his grandmother and kept her body inside their residence for three days. During that period, he is said to have told neighbors and relatives that she had traveled to Pujehun for a workshop.

The motive behind the alleged act remains unclear, and police have not yet released official details regarding the incident or the circumstances leading to the discovery of the body.
