The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) today issued a fine of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones (NLe 150,000) to the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) for contravening the Political Parties Act.

The fine was issued after Wusu Dadiddah Jalloh, a member of the SLPP and spokesman for the office of the First Lady Fatima Bio, made statements on Liberty Online Television on Monday, November 24, 2025.

The PPRC stated that the SLPP was fined for the contravention of Section 39(1)(d) of the Political Parties Act (No. 25) of 2022.

The Commission noted with “grave concern” that the statements made by Wusu Dadiddah Jalloh were “incendiary and inciting”.

The press release also noted that the PPRC had previously warned the SLPP against the contravention of the same section of the Act in a letter dated November 11, 2025.

The SLPP has been given fourteen (14) days to pay the fine.
