Njala University has officially released updated dates for its 2025 Congregation ceremonies, following approval by the University Court.
The announcement was made by the institution’s Publicity Committee, which urged all graduands, parents, and members of the public to take note of the revised schedule.
In a statement issued by Ansumana K. Senesie, a member of the Publicity Committee, the ceremonies will take place over two days in December. Each day will be dedicated to the conferment of specific academic awards.
The first ceremony will be held on 19th December 2025, during which the University will confer undergraduate degrees and award diplomas and certificates across various faculties.
This session is expected to attract a large number of graduating students and their families, marking the culmination of years of academic effort for the undergraduates.
The second ceremony will take place on 20th December 2025 and will be reserved for the conferment of higher degrees, including Master’s and Doctoral qualifications, as well as the awarding of postgraduate diplomas. This session typically features fewer graduands, but recognizes the significant contributions of advanced students to research and academic excellence.
The Publicity Committee has encouraged graduands and the general public to share the information widely in order to ensure adequate preparation and participation in the ceremonies.
The annual congregation is one of the most significant events in Njala University’s academic calendar, providing an opportunity for graduates to celebrate their academic achievements, reflect on their educational journeys, and highlight the institution’s ongoing commitment to advancing higher education in Sierra Leone.
As the dates approach, the University is expected to release further details regarding venue arrangements, dress codes, and other logistical considerations to support a smooth and successful ceremony.
