The Minister of Internal Affairs, Rtd. AIG Morie Lengor Esq., attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Kailahun District Descendants Association (KAIDDA) at the Kunda Hotel in Segbwema, Kailahun District.
KAIDDA, a non-political association, serves as a unifying body for descendants of Kailahun District and associate members, promoting peace, unity, and development across the region. This year’s AGM was convened under the theme: “Together in Peace, United in Purpose; Advancing Kailahun District’s Development Agenda.”
Minister Lengor, who previously chaired KAIDDA until 2024, handed over leadership to the current chairman, Mr. Samuel Jibao. His presence underscored his continued support for the association’s mission and development initiatives.
During the meeting, members engaged in discussions on reviewing the association’s constitution, strategic recommendations to foster peace and sustainable development, and fundraising strategies for KAIDDA’s flagship initiative, the District Monument and Cultural Heritage Center.
The two-day event, concluding on December 23, 2025, will feature a social cultural night, a formal dinner, and a reunion dance celebrating the district’s heritage and unity.
KAIDDA membership is open to all descendants of Kailahun District, as well as associate members who share the association’s vision of peace and development.
