The Sierra Leone Police continued operations on Thursday, January 15, 2026, to remove illegal garages, unauthorized structures, and abandoned vehicles along several streets in central Freetown, including Edward Street, Gabriel Street, Victoria Street, and Adelaide Street.

The exercise was led by the Local Unit Commander of the Central Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) John Fayiah Tumbay. During the operation, a number of abandoned vehicles were removed and conveyed to the Kingtom Police Field.

Police officials explained that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to improve public safety, enhance urban order, and ensure the free flow of traffic within the central business district.

The exercise is expected to continue, with further updates to be communicated as the operation progresses.
