The Pavilion located at the Pujehun District Education Council Field is currently in a seriously deplorable condition, raising widespread concern among residents, sports stakeholders, youth groups, and members of the general public who frequently use the facility for various activities.

The pavilion, which is supposed to serve as a central venue for sporting events, cultural ceremonies, official programs, and other public gatherings, has deteriorated to the extent that it now poses a significant safety risk to users.

The report revealed the alarming state of the deplorable condition of the pavilion, such as roofing sheets and many others have been completely blown off, leaving the building completely damaged, exposed to rain and direct sunlight.

Seating facilities within the pavilion are also in poor condition, with broken benches and rusty metal parts that could easily cause injuries, particularly to children and young sports lovers who regularly visit the field.

Residents have expressed deep disappointment and frustration over what they describe as prolonged neglect of a vital public facility. Many believe the pavilion has become an eyesore and a serious threat to life, warning that if urgent action is not taken, the structure could collapse in the near future.

Consequently, there have been strong calls from community members for the Pujehun District Council, central government authorities, and development partners to urgently intervene. Residents are appealing for the rehabilitation and proper maintenance of the pavilion to ensure it provides a safe, comfortable, and respectable environment for public use.
