The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has dispatched a technical team from Freetown to Kambia in a decisive move to restore electricity following recent vandalism of power infrastructure.

The team, led by Engineer Alhassan, departed with electricity meters, cables, and other critical equipment required to repair damaged transformers and stabilize power supply across the township.

The intervention was strongly supported by Ambassador Alimamy Hassan Bangura, who facilitated the mission by providing logistics and transportation to ensure the safe and timely movement of personnel and materials. His support has been widely acknowledged as a demonstration of commitment to sustaining Kambia’s electrification efforts amid increasing public demand.

EDSA officials expressed appreciation for the logistical backing and leadership provided, reaffirming their determination to restore reliable electricity to residents in the shortest possible time.

Meanwhile, EDSA has informed the public that all customers who have paid or intend to purchase electricity meters are advised to visit the Kambia Electricity Power Station tomorrow morning, as the technical team will be on the ground to carry out the necessary processes
