Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health received a significant boost to its healthcare infrastructure on Tuesday with the donation of a 400kva mobile generator and a water bowser from the Japanese government.
The official handover ceremony took place at the Ministry of Health’s Youyi Building, where Japanese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, H.E. Hiroshi Yoshimoto, presented the equipment to Health Minister Dr. Austin Demby.
This donation aims to address critical energy and water needs in Sierra Leonean hospitals, ensuring a more reliable supply of these essential resources.
The mobile generator will provide backup power during outages, preventing disruptions to critical medical services, while the water bowser will ensure a consistent water supply for hospitals.
“This donation will significantly enhance our capacity to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Sierra Leone,” said Minister Demby. “We are grateful to the Japanese government for their continued support in strengthening our health system.”
Wise gifts for saving our people’s lives. Thanks to the Japanese for feeding the brain’s of our leaders. This was the missing puzzle in the place of karpower ship . Such ships are made for remote exploration minerals by the sea side or oil refineries on high Sea, not to electrified a nation nor a whole city like Freetown. It’s a poorest way to think 🤔. The people promoted such ideas were doom and corrupt. The money spent on that karpower ship is enough to electrified the whole country with mobile generators. Water tankers is another wise ideas to water shortage allover the country. But ooh Sierra Leone leadership only to talk, eat and sleep. . May blessed the innocent souls.
