First Lady Fatima Bio has paid a solemn visit to the family of the late Hon. Ella Goba of Kenema District, who passed away unexpectedly a few days ago.
In a statement, the First Lady described Goba’s sudden death as a “painful loss,” not only to her family and loved ones but also to all who value the strength and leadership of women in Sierra Leone.
“As a gender champion, it deeply saddens me to see a sister leave us so soon and so unexpectedly,” Fatima Bio said. “Hon. Ella Goba’s life was one of service and commitment, and her absence will surely be felt.”
The First Lady prayed that God forgives Goba’s shortcomings, grants her eternal rest, and receives her into His heavenly kingdom, while also comforting her family during this difficult time.
Hon. Ella Goba, remembered for her dedication to public service and advocacy for women’s empowerment, leaves behind a legacy that has inspired many in her community and beyond.
