The National Grand Coalition (NGC) has concluded a high-level consultation with Edmond Sylvester Alpha, the nominee proposed by President Julius Maada Bio to lead the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (EC-SL).
The meeting follows a formal request from the Presidency seeking the party’s input on Mr. Alpha’s intended appointment as Chief Electoral Commissioner.
The NGC leadership invited Mr. Alpha to the party’s headquarters for a thorough vetting session, which was led by the National Chairman and Leader, alongside the National Secretary General.
During the hour-long engagement, Mr. Alpha faced a wide range of questions designed to assess his impartiality, technical competence, and vision for Sierra Leone’s electoral future. The session also reviewed his professional track record and readiness to uphold the integrity of the country’s democratic processes.
The consultative process is a key step in ensuring that the leadership of the EC-SL commands trust from both the government and opposition ahead of upcoming electoral cycles.

The session seems to be proactive and relevant to assertain the sinequanon of the said commissioner. Kodus! Significantly, for the benefit of the general public, kindly help us or share with us the outcome (s) of the session.
