The President has received formal approval from twelve registered political parties for the appointment of Mr. Edmond S. Alpha as Chief Electoral Commissioner (CEC) and Chairman of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL).
The confirmation was disclosed by Yusuf Keketoma Sandi, Press Secretary to the President, who stated that official letters of endorsement had been submitted by the respective political parties in support of the nomination.
The endorsing parties include the National Democratic Alliance, Alliance Democratic Party, National Grand Coalition (NGC), Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), United National People’s Party (UNPP), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Peace and Liberation Party (PLP), Citizens Democratic Party (CDP), Revolutionary United Front Party (RUFP), People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC), United Democratic Movement (UDM), and the Republic National Independent Party.
According to the Press Secretary, the endorsements reflect broad-based political backing for Mr. Alpha’s appointment to head the country’s electoral management body.
Mr. Alpha’s nomination as CEC and Chairman of the ECSL is expected to play a pivotal role in the oversight and management of Sierra Leone’s electoral processes.
Why APC is not Among the twelve parties here??

Endorsement by some political parties that have not even produce a councilor sit for almost a decade now.

Sierra Leoneans, why can’t you just love one another and move forward. Party no Party everyone of us are going to die and leave the land or politics behind and go into your grave. APC cannot support because they are not in power. This is a power hungry and evil party killing to stay in power before I was burned. The party is full of evil human beings, as soon as Mendes joins APC party they become evil against their own people. The others are already evil. LOL. Very sad and shameful. May God almighty bless Sierra Leone. Amen.
