Orange Money has presented major prizes to final winners of its nationwide Sober Kaiba promotional campaign and unveiled a new Ramadan Promotion designed to support customers while driving greater adoption of digital financial services across Sierra Leone.

At a prize-giving ceremony held on Thursday, 19 February 2026, the mobile financial service provider awarded customers with solar panels, two generators, five motorbikes, and a tricycle. The winners were selected based on their transaction activity during the campaign period.

Launched in October 2025, the Sober Kaiba campaign aimed to encourage increased usage of Orange Money’s digital payment and transfer services. Customers automatically qualified for prize draws by actively transacting on the platform.

Speaking at the ceremony, Orange Money Chief Executive Officer, David Mansaray, expressed appreciation to customers for their continued loyalty and participation. He emphasized that the initiative forms part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen customer engagement and deepen financial inclusion nationwide.

He noted that consistent use of mobile money services enhances convenience and security for customers while contributing to the growth of accessible and inclusive financial systems across the country.

Most winners attended the ceremony to receive their prizes in person. Among them was Elizabeth Marrah, the winner of the tricycle, who travelled from Makeni to collect her award after initially doubting the authenticity of the notification message.

With this tricycle, I can improve my livelihood and support my family,” she said, describing the prize as life-changing and reaffirming her confidence in Orange Money services.

Building on the momentum of the Sober Kaiba campaign, Orange Money also launched its Ramadan Promotion to coincide with the Muslim holy month. Under the new initiative, five motorbike or tricycle riders will receive 30 litres of fuel weekly, while business owners stand a chance to win Le50,000 in cash.

To qualify, merchants must receive payments through their Kotoku accounts or via their registered merchant codes. In addition to fuel and cash rewards, selected participants will receive food items during the fasting period as part of the company’s community support efforts.

Company representatives stated that the Ramadan Promotion reflects Orange Money’s commitment to supporting customers while encouraging the use of secure and reliable digital payment solutions.

Orange Money reaffirmed that mobile financial services continue to play a vital role in Sierra Leone’s economy, particularly for small businesses, transport operators, and individuals who depend on safe and efficient digital transactions.

Through customer reward campaigns and seasonal initiatives, the company aims to strengthen trust in digital finance and expand access to financial services across both urban and rural communities.
