Head Coach Mohamed Kallon has announced the Sierra Leone senior men’s national team squad for the FIFA Series 2026 March international friendlies, as the country prepares for its first-ever participation in the competition.
Sierra Leone’s senior men’s national team, Leone Stars, will take part in the FIFA Men’s Series for the first time following official confirmation from world football’s governing body, FIFA.
The FIFA Men’s Series is a biennial invitational international tournament designed to offer competitive friendly matches between national teams from different confederations. The 2026 edition is scheduled for March 2026 and will be the second staging of the competition, following its inaugural edition in March 2024.
The tournament will feature national teams from all six FIFA confederations, organized into mini-tournaments of four teams each. This structure is intended to promote cross-confederation competition, technical development, and international exposure, in line with FIFA’s broader objectives of enhancing global football development and competitive balance.
Sierra Leone has been drawn into a group alongside host nation Azerbaijan, as well as St. Lucia and Oman, setting up challenging encounters across Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia.
