Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Fatima Bio, has reflected on her recent engagements in the United States, describing the experience as both meaningful and impactful.

Speaking after her return, the First Lady emphasized that her participation in international forums provided an opportunity to engage with global partners and promote issues affecting Sierra Leone, particularly those concerning women and children.

She noted that the engagements allowed her to “share perspectives” and advance causes that remain central to her advocacy work, especially in promoting the well-being of vulnerable groups.

The First Lady also expressed gratitude for a safe and successful trip, stating, “I am deeply grateful to Allah for His protection, guidance, and journey mercies throughout this important mission.”

Her remarks further indicate a renewed sense of purpose, as she reaffirmed her commitment to continue championing social causes, adding that she returns “inspired, encouraged, and even more committed” to serving the people.
