The Pujehun District Students’ Association (PuDSA) on Sunday, 3rd May 2026, officially turned the sod for the construction of its long-awaited National Secretariat Building, marking a major milestone in the association’s development.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held under the leadership of the 46th National President, Mohamed Alie Kamara, with the support of key stakeholders, including Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers and Mrs Nabeela Farida Tunis.

The event brought together past PuDSA presidents, community leaders, school representatives, and other stakeholders, who gathered in solidarity to witness the commencement of the project.

The first shovel of earth was turned by Hon. Dickson Momoh Rogers, officially marking the start of construction for the facility, which is expected to serve current and future generations of the association.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Rogers described the Secretariat Building as more than an office space, saying it will serve as a hub for coordination, innovation, and the advancement of PuDSA’s vision.

He added that the project represents a symbol of unity, resilience, and leadership commitment to development within the association.

Hon. Rogers also commended the leadership of Mohamed Alie Kamara and his executive team for what he described as strong foresight and dedication to turning the vision into reality.

Former PuDSA president Mohamed Kallon also expressed satisfaction that the long-envisioned project has finally begun. He noted that previous administrations had worked toward similar goals but were unable to fully realise the secretariat project.

He expressed hope that the current leadership would successfully complete the project and urged continued commitment toward its timely completion.
