Guma Valley Water Company Restores Water Supply to Freetown After Major Pipeline Repairs
Guma Valley Water Company has announced the resumption of water supply to Freetown following the successful completion of repair works on the 22-inch transmission pipelines at Black Tank in Adonkia.
In a public notice dated 13 May 2026, the company informed customers and the general public that the repair exercise had been completed successfully, paving the way for the restoration of water supply services across the capital according to the existing Wednesday rationing schedule.
The management of Guma Valley Water Company stated that water supply to Freetown had resumed after the temporary interruption caused by the pipeline fault.
The company explained that the restoration would follow the established water rationing arrangement currently in place for Wednesdays.
According to the statement, the utility provider expressed appreciation to its customers and the public for their patience, cooperation, and understanding during the period of disruption in water supply.
“Management wishes to sincerely thank its valued customers and the general public for their patience, cooperation, and understanding during the temporary interruption in water supply,” the statement read.
The company further reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the reliable delivery of safe water to residents in the Western Area.
