The Minister of Energy, Cyril Grant, has apologised to residents of Freetown East for the persistent power outages they are experiencing.
The Minister made the apology during a live interview on the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Radio, while speaking on issues relating to electricity supply.
He said he was aware of the frustration of residents, especially those in the eastern part of the city, and noted that the current system is unable to adequately supply electricity to that area.
He further assured that by mid-June, electricity supply will stabilise across the country, as the Bumbuna reservoir is expected to return to normal levels.
