The Director of Women’s Basketball at the Sierra Leone Basketball Federation (SLBF), Nathalie Mansaray, has highlighted a steady rise in the number of female basketball coaches in the country, attributing the progress to ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening women’s participation in the sport.

In a recent media engagement, Mansaray explained that the development is being driven through strategic partnerships with Giants of Africa, FIBA, and NBA Africa, all focused on advancing women’s basketball in Sierra Leone.

She reaffirmed the federation’s commitment to gender-focused initiatives, noting that sustained investment will continue to support the growth of both female players and coaches nationwide.

Mansaray further emphasized that empowering women remains central to the SLBF’s broader vision of promoting inclusivity and long-term development within the sport.
