President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Maada Bio joined members of the opposition All People’s Congress Party on Monday to honor the late Hon. Minkailu Mansaray, former National Chairman of the APC.

The president signed the book of condolence at Parliament and stood with the bereaved family during the lying-in-state ceremony.

“Your dedicated service to Sierra Leone will not be forgotten, and your composed approach to politics will be remembered forever,” President Bio wrote.

The First Lady described the gesture as a show of solidarity that transcends political divisions.

“Despite our different tribes, regions, religions, and political affiliations, we remain united by the fact that we are one country, one people,” she said.

Mansaray served as a longtime opposition stalwart and former chairman of the APC.
