The Sierra Leone Police have declared Andrew D.S. Lahai wanted in connection with an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
According to a wanted notice issued by the police, Lahai, an adult Sierra Leonean resident of Freetown, is being sought by investigators over the alleged offence. The case is registered under Crime Reference Number 1144/2026.
The notice, circulated by the Sierra Leone Police, states that the suspect is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and of fair complexion.
Police said the suspect is wanted in relation to ongoing investigations into the alleged offence of obtaining money by false pretence. Authorities have therefore appealed to the public to assist law enforcement agencies with information that could lead to his arrest.
The police further urged anyone who sees the suspect or possesses credible information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters on Pademba Road in Freetown or report to the nearest police station.
The notice also indicated that a reward would be offered to any individual who provides useful information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The Sierra Leone Police reiterated their commitment to pursuing all persons wanted in connection with alleged criminal offences and encouraged members of the public to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in the interest of justice.
The declaration of Lahai as a wanted person forms part of ongoing efforts by the police to investigate allegations of obtaining money by false pretence and ensure that suspects facing criminal allegations are brought before the courts.
