The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has honoured its retiring Head of Administration, Elma Kamara, for his outstanding 26-year contribution to football administration in the country.
The farewell ceremony, held on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, brought together members of the SLFA Executive Committee, management and staff to celebrate Mr. Kamara’s long-standing service and impact on the Association.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kamara served in several important positions, including Education Officer, Head of Administration and Acting General Secretary. Colleagues and SLFA officials described him as a dedicated administrator, mentor and role model whose professionalism, humility and commitment helped strengthen the institution.

SLFA General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh, Deputy General Secretary Ishmail Saidu Kanu Esq., and departmental heads commended Mr. Kamara for his integrity, guidance and valuable role in shaping staff development and improving football administration.
Representing SLFA President Babadi Kamara and the Executive Committee, Vice President 2 Prince Saquee thanked the retiring administrator for his years of dedicated service and urged staff to continue upholding the principles of professionalism and discipline that characterised his career.

In his farewell remarks, Mr. Kamara expressed appreciation to the SLFA leadership and staff, describing football as his passion and thanking the Association for the opportunity to serve.
The SLFA wished him a fulfilling retirement while acknowledging his lasting contribution to the growth of football administration in Sierra Leone.
