Sierra Leone’s Under-19 cricket team delivered another dominant performance at the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Division 2 Qualifier in Kigali, Rwanda, thrashing Mozambique by eight wickets on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
After winning the toss at the Kahanga Oval, Mozambique elected to bat but struggled against Sierra Leone’s disciplined bowling attack. The Junior Patriots bowled them out for just 89 runs in 23.5 overs.
Sierra Leone made light work of the chase, reaching 93 runs in 13 overs while losing only two wickets to seal a convincing eight-wicket victory.
The win further underlined Sierra Leone’s growing strength in the tournament, with several players continuing to make their mark across the individual performance categories.
