The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) confirms receipt of a formal complaint regarding the alleged misuse of official Ministry documentation in a visa application to a diplomatic mission. The Ministry has also noted related concerns raised publicly.

The Ministry said the allegations are being treated seriously, and that they have established an internal committee to urgently investigate, review relevant documentation and procedures, determine the facts, and report its findings and recommendations.

The review will also assess current processes and safeguards for preparing, authorising, and transmitting official correspondence, including visa requests, with the aim of strengthening institutional controls as needed.

The Ministry also assured the public that the unauthorised use or breach of procedures, if confirmed, will be dealt with through appropriate administrative or legal action.

They added that the matter will be handled promptly, with respect for due process and without prejudice to the outcome of the investigation. The Ministry reaffirm its commitment to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and institutional responsibility.
