The Sierra Leone Embassy in Moscow, Russia, has announced that scholarship students will begin receiving their 2025/2026 academic-year stipends on September 11.
In a notice dated September 8, 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Russian Federation said the funds had been credited to the mission’s account.
The Embassy said disbursement will take place at its Moscow office between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, September 11.
Students seeking payment must appear with documentation demonstrating their Sierra Leonean identity and active enrollment at a Russian university, according to the notice.
The required documents include a valid Sierra Leonean passport showing a valid Russian visa, an up-to-date academic progress report for the 2025/2026 period, a university identification card and the name and contact information of the university’s dean responsible for foreign students.
The Embassy said the information will help the mission prepare detailed academic progress reports for the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, which supports stipend payments for the following academic year.
According to the notice, students are expected to collect their stipends personally unless they have a valid reason preventing them from doing so.
The Embassy set November 30, 2026, as the deadline for collecting the funds. It warned that unclaimed money after that date will have to be returned to the consolidated funds.
