Sierra Leonean Forward Santigie Sesay Helps Arsenal Tivat Secure First League Win

Sierra Leonean forward Santigie Sesay featured as FK Arsenal Tivat secured their first victory of the 2026/27 Montenegrin First League campaign with a 2-1 win, moving the club off the foot of the table.

Sesay, 23, has started all five of Arsenal Tivat’s league matches this season and has accumulated 439 minutes in the Montenegrin top flight, according to FootyStats. The Sierra Leone international primarily plays as a forward and is yet to record a goal or assist this campaign.

Arsenal Tivat entered the match without a win from their opening four fixtures, drawing each game 0-0 and failing to score. The club had collected four points before finally breaking its winless run with the 2-1 victory.

The result represents a positive change in fortunes for Arsenal Tivat after a difficult start in front of goal. Their opening draws came against FK Mornar, FK Budućnost Podgorica and FK Dečić Tuzi, among others.

Sesay joined Arsenal Tivat from FK Grbalj and has previously played for OFK Petrovac and Bo Rangers in Sierra Leone, according to FotMob. Born in Freetown on July 1, 2003, the forward stands 1.74 metres tall and has also represented Sierra Leone at international level, according to Transfermarkt.
