President Bio Arrives in Geneva for Peace Forum and Leadership Lecture
President Julius Maada Bio has arrived in Geneva, Switzerland ahead of high-level engagements at the upcoming Geneva Peace Forum.
In a statement shared across his official social media pages, President Bio confirmed his arrival in the Swiss diplomatic hub, expressing optimism about his upcoming addresses on regional security, global peace, and democratic governance.
The President is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote speech at the high-level opening ceremony of the Geneva Peace Forum, joining key international diplomats and organisational heads.

President Bio’s engagements in Geneva come as part of his continued role on the international stage addressing peace-building and global governance. Having recently served as Chairperson of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and represented Sierra Leone on the UN Security Council, President Bio’s addresses will focus heavily on democratic resilience, conflict prevention, and regional integration across West Africa and the broader continent.
“I look forward to delivering the opening keynote address, as well as giving a keynote lecture at the Geneva Graduate Institute as part of the Director’s Global Leadership Series.” He stated.
