Juma Bah Makes Bundesliga Debut in Augsburg’s Draw Against Bayern Munich
Sierra Leone international Juma Bah made his first Bundesliga appearance for FC Augsburg on Saturday, October 10, 2026, as his side secured a 2-2 draw against German champions Bayern Munich at the WWK Arena.
The 20-year-old centre-back started the match and played 81 minutes in his first appearance in Germany’s top-flight league.
Bah was among four changes to Augsburg’s starting line-up for the match, with the club confirming before kick-off that the Sierra Leonean defender would make his debut against the Bundesliga giants.
Augsburg took an early lead through Robin Fellhauer, who scored within eight seconds, setting a new record for the fastest goal in Bundesliga history.
Bayern equalised through Ismael Saibari in the 55th minute, but Augsburg regained the lead when Rodrigo Ribeiro scored in the 64th minute. Nathaniel Brown restored parity for Bayern in the 80th minute to secure a share of the points.
Speaking after the final whistle, Bah expressed happiness at making his Bundesliga debut and praised his teammates for their efforts against a strong opponent.
“I’m so happy to make my first Bundesliga match,” he said, adding that he hoped to continue helping the team in upcoming games.
The Sierra Leonean defender also welcomed the draw, describing Bayern as a big team and praising his teammates for fighting until the end.
Augsburg will next face SV Elversberg on Saturday, October 17, as Bah looks to build on his first Bundesliga appearance.
