Sierra Leone Peace Researcher Urges Leaders to Turn Public Displays of Unity Into Action
Alex Fefegula Harding Peace researcher Dr. Teddy Musa has called on leaders to translate public displays of unity into concrete actions that deliver meaningful benefits to ordinary people.
Musa made the remarks during an interview with AYV Media on Thursday, Oct. 22, warning that friendly exchanges and expressions of solidarity at conferences are insufficient without practical follow-through.
He stressed that the goodwill leaders demonstrate at public gatherings must extend beyond the conference stage and result in meaningful action among the people.
His comments highlight the importance of measuring cooperation not only by public appearances but also by the actions leaders take after meetings to strengthen relationships and promote peace.
The interview was featured on AYV Media’s Wake Up Sierra Leone programme.
