Shooting Stars Set for Third-Place Clash Against Senegal
Sierra Leone’s Under-20 national team, the Shooting Stars, have intensified preparations for their third-place play-off against Senegal in the ongoing WAFU Zone A tournament, following their final training session at Stade Ouezzin Coulibaly.
The team completed its preparations on Thursday, October 29, ahead of Friday’s encounter, scheduled for 4:00 PM, as they seek to secure a podium finish and conclude their campaign on a positive note.
The Shooting Stars have returned to training with renewed determination despite their semi-final defeat to The Gambia, which ended their hopes of qualifying for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations. The players have maintained a positive attitude, with the technical team focusing on tactical adjustments and ensuring the squad is physically and mentally prepared for the final fixture.
With third place at stake, Sierra Leone will be looking to overcome Senegal and finish the competition on a high, giving their supporters a positive end to their WAFU Zone A campaign.
