Boss LAJ’s Planned Performance in Belgium Cancelled Amid Reported Travel Dispute
Sahid Bangura Sierra Leonean rapper King Boss LAJ will not attend the 9th edition of the PANAF Festival in Belgium following a reported disagreement between his team and the festival organisers over travel arrangements.
According to a close source familiar with the development, Boss LAJ wanted to travel with three members of his team to attend the festival. However, the source claimed that the organisers did not provide the arrangement he requested, leading to the breakdown of plans for his participation.
The source further alleged that the PANAF Festival organisers publicised the rapper’s appearance on promotional materials before reaching a concrete agreement with his management.
In an official statement issued on Friday, October 30, the DJ PROD Team, organisers of the PANAF Festival, confirmed that Boss LAJ would be unable to attend the event due to circumstances beyond their control.
The statement expressed regret over his absence, acknowledging the anticipation surrounding his planned appearance and the disappointment it would cause among his fans and the Sierra Leonean community.
The organisers also thanked the rapper, his team and supporters who had looked forward to his participation, while confirming that Sierra Leone would remain the guest country of honour at the festival’s ninth edition.
Despite Boss LAJ’s absence, the organisers said the festival would proceed as scheduled on October 30 at Blu Brussels and October 31 at the Dôme de Charleroi in Belgium.
The development has raised questions about the arrangements surrounding the rapper’s planned participation, particularly the reported disagreement over the number of people travelling with him and the timing of the festival’s promotional announcement.
However, the organisers’ statement did not provide details about the circumstances that led to his absence, while the reported disagreement over travel arrangements remains attributed to the close source.
