GAI Commits to Providing Strategic Support for Girls
Theresa Manneh Speaking during the press conference, the board of Girls Alliances Incorporation (GAI) has rendered its commitment to provide strategic direction, strengthen institutional capacity, and support for Girls in Sierra Leone.
This commitment was made during the 4th Edition of the Girls Rise Up Conference 2026, which was led by the Director of Resource Mobilisation. The conference started with an introduction of the board members and also highlighted the organisation’s role in supporting the growth and sustainability of the organisation.
The GAI is an empowerment organisation dedicated to empowering and amplifying the voice of girls and young women across Sierra Leone. The Director continued by saying they believe that every girl possesses the potential to drive positive change in the community in which they find themselves.
The session provided an opportunity to showcase GAI’s work, programmes, advocacy initiatives, and commitment to advancing girls’ rights, leadership and empowerment participation across the world because, at GAI, they believe stronger government builds stronger institutions and strong institution creating impact.
