There have been reports of panic and unrest in Magburaka as youths stormed the streets to strike over fuel and economic hardship they are grappled with.
It is reported that the youth are arresting commercial bike riders and preventing them not to ply streets within the town.
It is also reported that traders are prevented from opening shops and business centers.
According to the youths, their strike action is as a result of the increments of fuel pump price and the increased in the cost of living in Magburaka
They also noted that fuel has become a rare commodities in the town, and they are buying in the black market for Le 50 (Le50,000).

In response, the police unleashed canisters of tear gas at certain locations in the central business area of Magburaka to dispatch the crowd.
