Sierra Leone hip-hop artist Alhaji Amadu Bah, widely known as Boss La, has made headlines by threatening to release explicit videos of his rival, Kaodenero’s wife, Esther.

In a recent Facebook post, Boss La alleged that he possesses a video of Esther and stated that he would publish it if Kaodenero and his wife released a nude video of Boss La’s sister.

The rivalry between Boss La and Kaodenero dates back to the rise of hip-hop in Sierra Leone, intensifying notably after Boss La’s debut track, “Money Na Bank,” was released in late 2013.

Despite featuring Kaodenero and several prominent hip-hop artists, fans interpreted some of the lyrics as insults directed at Boss La.

While this feud subsided for a time, a new conflict has emerged linked to Boss La’s relationship with Delvaqyo, Kaodenero’s former partner.

The escalating tension has prompted both artists to produce diss tracks targeting one another, raising concerns among fans and industry insiders about the potential implications for the future of the entertainment scene in Sierra Leone.
