Tensions between the Mandingo and Limba communities in Biriwa Chiefdom, Karena Section, have once again turned violent, resulting in deaths, destruction, and growing fears of further conflict.
The dispute, which has been simmering for seven years, erupted into deadly violence in the early hours of February 10, 2025.
According to NICE Multimedia Empire, at approximately 2:00 AM, a group of alleged Limba youths reportedly attacked the Mandingo village of Foday Sorieya, setting fire to around 20 houses.
The attack left four people dead and over 40 others injured, while millions of Leones worth of property were destroyed. Additionally, the assailants are said to have stolen large numbers of cattle, a vital source of livelihood for the Mandingo community.
Local sources have accused the Limba Paramount Chief of aiding and abetting the attackers. Concerns have also been raised regarding police involvement, with reports suggesting that officers from Kamabai Police Station may have sided with the perpetrators.
Unconfirmed rumors claim that a police officer, whose name remains undisclosed, was among those who took part in the attack.

Government should take this matter with seriousness for other communities to learn form this barbaric act and inhuman treatment.

On that note you need to be investigative before doing a post let someone didn’t just seat on his or her corner and send you a story or a write up which you didn’t do a proper investigation on and then you went ahead and post it on you page without any evidence of the story or without knowing the root course of the story.
This incident that happen between the Limba’s and the Mandingo in Biriwa chiefdom from the 9th to the 10 February 2025 you didn’t did a proper investigation to know how this issue all started instead you just take one side of the story and publish it and according to media ethics it unprofessional.
The whole problem there was started by the Mandingo. Do to a land disputes that one of the Mandingo village ( Foday Sorieya ) have with one of the Limba village (KamaKenteya). So on the 9th/2/25 this Mandingo village call Foday Sorieya went and lunch an attack to this Limba village (KamaKenteya) at around in the afternoon when the village was empty and burn some of their houses injured some people whom were on the Sean that try to defend themselves.
Inturn following on that night on the 10th /2/25 the Limba village (KamaKenteya) that were attack during the day then revenge and attack the same village that attacked them which is Foday Sorieya and did the same thing that they did to them on the 9th /2/25.
So in a brief that exactly what happen there so if you are here posting one side of the story and accusing people that were not even knowledgeable about the incident except when it has happen, then you need to stop that and try to know the real story before posting it.

I don’t think you get this news right I’m from that part of the country the fight is between Karene and fodaysoria mandingo vs mandigo no limba is evolve they want to used this as a yard stick to divide the chiefdom. So next time before given such news you have to confirm it. we limba are very peaceful. I want you to know that we are the only tribe who give the mandigos land to settle in our chifdoms.
