On Monday 1st August 2022, Ibrahim Brima Swarray’s Academic Foundation has launched their second episode of Free summer school at Methodist primary school in Kenema.

The launching ceremony attracted over a thousand sierra Leonean pupils within the township of Kenema from classes one to SSS three.

The Free summer school is expected to last for a period of one month and will be hosted at four different centers including Methodist primary, Methodist secondary school, Methodist girls high school, and college secondary school respectively.

Teachers are drawn from various secondary and primary schools within the kenema municipality inorder to facilitate the lecture of various subjects that are part of the school curriculum.

In his official opening address, the founder and President of the foundation who also doubles as the Chief Executive of the National Public Procurement Authority, Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray (MCIPS) thanked parents for allowing their kids in making use of such an opportunity.

He said among many other things, education is the best thing any parent can give to a child.
Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray also stated that any leader who believes in education is a great leader and therefore described President Bio as the best President Sierra Leone has ever have.

He encouraged teachers to give their best during the one month free summer school, so that pupil will be well prepared to go through there next classes successfully.
He ended up his speech by using the slogan “PRESIDENT BIO SAY, ALL SALONE PIKIN FOR LEARN BOOK”. (President Bio said all Sierra Leonean children should be educated).

Parents present expressed their autmost gratitude over the gesture as they went further to pray for the progress of the foundation.

Beneficiaries in the primary sector each received some customized exercise books, pencil, sharpener, eraser, and pen, while those in the secondary school sector each received some customized exercise books and pen which marks the symbolic opening of the summer school.
