A Freetown man has appeared before Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 2 over allegations that he stole household and event-related property valued at Le54,150.
Amadu Koroma, also known as “Konto,” an unemployed resident of Thoronka Drive in Leicester Village, faces a larceny charge contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
Koroma appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah following allegations that the items were stolen on Aug. 2, 2026, at Thoronka Drive.
According to the prosecution, the property belongs to Hajarath Soko Sesay and includes household equipment, furniture, electronics and other items.
Among the items listed in the prosecution’s case are 15 empty Crest bottles, 22 white folding chairs, six white folding tables, 24 assorted-colored rubber chairs and 24 red-and-gold chains.
The list also includes a black photocopy printer and scanner, a red 2.5 KVA generator, three sets of cooking pots and three Coleman coolers, two large blue-and-white coolers and one small blue-and-white cooler.
The allegations have not been established in court, and the accused remains entitled to the presumption of innocence.
Following the cross-examination of the prosecution’s first witness, PW1, Magistrate Fornah adjourned the matter to Sept. 22, 2026.
The prosecution is expected to call its second witness, PW2, when proceedings resume.
