Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina alongside his development partners in the United States of America (USA) on Monday, March 27 2023, distributed consignments of assorted learning materials to the pupils of three primary schools in Koidu City, Kono District.

The donation ceremony attracted huge number of people including the Acting Paramount Chief of Gbense Chiefdom, AM Kamanda, the Town Chief of Faandu village, Sahr Marsu, pupils and school teachers and a host of other dignitaries.

The distribution was done in the presence of Mr. Alusine Jalloh, who represented Hon. Lamina’s USA Development Partners.

The three targeted primary schools where: Kono Heritage Primary School at Faandu, KDEC Primary School at Koakor and Kamadu Community Primary School at Kamadu.

Meanwhile, some of the items distributed included bicycles, backpacks, practical learning and teaching materials, toiletries, used clothes, shoes, and many others.

The donation came from the Kensington, Garrett Park, Bethesda and Potomac communities of Maryland in the USA.

Alusine Jalloh, the donor facilitator promised to do more advocacy on behalf of the MP who has proven to be a very good leader with a compassionate heart. He assured the pupils that the move is to ensure standard life in the course of their education.

Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina thanked Mr Jalloh for his continuous commitment to the children of his Constituency and through him, thanked the people of Kensington, Potomac, Garrett Park and Bethesda communities in Maryland for their kind gestures and appealed for more consideration of the children of Kono District.

Chief Mondeh, one of the local chiefs, said Hon. Lamina is always with his people and therefore understands the challenges; which is why he has been able to mitigate most of these challenges.
